Today we have another version, which fixes dozens of bugs in previous versions, and specialists associated with WordPress advise against updates to 5.x. So, how is it with this new version?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning it should be remembered that the release of version 5.0 was postponed dozens of times. The reason is that there wasn&#8217;t enough time to test all the changes in WordPress itself, and the constant patches to Gutenberg only made it worse. This problem was raised by <strong>Konrad Karpieszuk<\/strong> on <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/dev.wpzlecenia.pl\/2018\/12\/wordpress-5-0-z-gutenbergiem-juz-dzis-ale-wstrzymajcie-sie-z-aktualizacja\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><span>dev.wpzlecenia.pl<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not much time has passed and we already have a version of WordPress 5.0.2 that fixes hundreds of bugs that have been found so far. <strong>Couldn&#8217;t they have been fixed before Gutenberg was released for production?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The worst thing about it all is that the security fixes that were introduced in version 5.0.1, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/core\/2018\/12\/13\/backwards-compatibility-breaks-in-5-0-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><span>spoil the backward compatibility!<\/span><\/a> Updates of this type should not do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The worst thing is that the WordPress bug reporting system no longer <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/core\/2019\/01\/04\/short-term-trac-milestone-ticket-triage-proposal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><span>fulfils its role<\/span><\/a>. And no wonder. When creating larger entries like our <a href=\"https:\/\/thecamels.org\/en\/compendium-how-to-secure-your-wordpress\/\"><span>Compendium<\/span><\/a>, Gutenberg is unused. This plug-in is developed by WordPress developers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another plug may be <strong>Disable Gutenberg<\/strong>.
